Current Deck:"Sickness", an Anti-Heal, disease based deck. Also uses "Punishment", a burn deck based on countering traps.
Description: Red eyes, black messy hair, wears thin round glasses, average height and average build. Erland can usually be seen wearing his favorite pink, puffy shirt. He does wear the uniform, but usually just the pants and a conveniently "messed up" Osiris Jacket that's now a distinct pink color.
Personality: Erland has a rather nasty personality, delighting in other people's discomfort, and pushing people's buttons simply to see how they'll react. Underneath that, he's actually somewhat lonely, and is feeling his way on how to act to be accepted. Along the way, he might actually do a good deed or two... just don't let him know that. He's recently fallen in love with Vidya, and has since slowly turned more 'human' than before. Despite this, he's not above using anyone or anything to reach his goals... he just will try to minimize loss and risk along the way. Also, he likes to make all of his posts in limerick form. ...yes, he's just that odd.
History: Erland was dumped upon his senile grandfather as a toddler by his parent(s), with whom he grew up. The grandfather would rarely speak to Erland, and when he did, it was usually to yell at him... usually for something his son had done years ago. Occasionally he'd be locked up in the 'white room', which seems to have been meant for a mental patient, and really had no place in a home. Erland spent most of his days very quiet, unable to enter any schools without his guardian's approval...which the old man was in no condition to give when it mattered. Erland therefore took to the admittedly aging books in the small library at home, covering most subjects usually taught in school to an acceptable degree. Near the end of the grandfather's life, Erland managed to manipulate the grandfather into putting himself as the sole heir for both the grandfather's will, and a considerable life insurance policy. When the grandfather finally died, Erland was free to do as he wanted, and had sufficient funds for attending Duel Academy, as well as starting a new life somewhere afterwards. DA was chosen mainly for its isolation and famed oddity, a perfect place for the likes of Erland to learn some social skills.


...okay, that all is just a constructed history which is, effectively, complete bulk. It's based on his REAL life, which is a discarded fragment of Keiko. Erland spent the first part of his 'life' in a containment called "The White". Fortunately for him, it was weakly constructed, and he soon escaped, taking the name "Erebus". He then proceeded to cause all sorts of problems, causing general havoc and being a monster. He eventually migrated across universes to DA, where he mostly just mind-raped people on occasion, causing serious trauma to Auun, and nearly killing a handful of students. He then became paranoid of Keiko finding him, and split into several parts. One of which was Erland, who took some time to integrate itself as a student, but still gaining a rather nasty reputation. He eventually met and fell in love with Vidya due to their similar backgrounds, and ended up exposing himself to save her from Jigokubana. He was later taken by Keiko, who would have destroyed him outright, had it not been for his actions towards, and the pleas from, the people like Souha, Vidya, and Umu. He was instead sentenced by Ten, Keiko's "father", who stripped Erland of most of his power, and placed him in containment for a short incarceration. He has since returned, due to the time lines not being tied together.
Extra Abilities: Currently his only real powers are the ability to form a sort of psychic bone-like material (Wraithbone) in the form of the Erebus Mask, and possibly other shapes with time. Also able to alter reality or his opponent's perceptions during a darkness duel by harnessing the duel energy produced. Also, Erland is immune, or at least resistant to other beings altering his mind or being, and can reverse such effects on his own, given time. Other abilities from the past will gradually return, given enough time.... but it's unlikely that he'll be able to pose a real threat to something like Darkness any time soon... outside of a duel.
